Long Chain is a Crafting Workbench item which was released on January 23rd, 2014.
Long Chain can be Direct Requested from the Pioneer's Neighbors, who will also receive one. The Pioneer must have the fourth stage of the Gem Mine build active to request Long Chain, but does not have to have it active in order to return and claim one.
A single Long Chain can be purchased from inside the Gem Mine Stafford Extractor Crafting Workbench for 
9 Horseshoes.
